light at the end of the tunnel?

ok so I can't write long because I don't have much time...but I wanted to update you girls on the issue I was sad about in my last post. I have been wrestling with the sex issue for 4 years with J. At first it was hard to breach the topic with him not wanting to hurt his feelings or make him feel less of a man. How do you put a pin in someones balloon like that when you love them so much?

When he started seeing differences in himself in other areas from his swing shift job he decided to take it to our Dr. I asked him to mention the sex drive.too and see where that took him. The Dr gave him pills to help him sleep and pills to help his crazy appetite from eating so strange hours. and an antidepressant to help the crabbiness. Nothing was said about his sex drive lacking.

I snuck in a couple questions at a later visit to our Dr who looked up the chart right then and there. I was hinted to that there was never a mention of the sex drive issue. I was devastated by this because J knew how much it was killing me inside and how much I was blaming myself. Once he discussed this all with me, the Dr sent me home with a lab order for J.

Needless to say he wasn't terribly pleased with me butting in but a few weeks later (when his work schedule slowed down) he had the test done. Three days later the office called and I got my answer! Its NOT ME!!!! ITS LOW TESTOSTERONE!!! I have never been so relieved about lab results! His results should have registered somewhere between 300-1000. J was in the low 100s!! So its significantly low.

A week later he got back to the office to have his results analyzed. For right now the rx is to work out more and try to raise his levels naturally. So far this is being committed to. Guess we'll see in a month or so how this changes things. If it doesn't change much, I suppose there will be replacements involved but at least J isn't rejecting all this. Especially after he looked up the other symptoms online and how much getting his levels fixed will help him.

So that's my update for today. love you all for reading and praying for the future. Update on the girls to come soon.
